Cookies, and how to turn them off
We use a small number of cookies: some keep you signed in, and some tell us which pages people actually read. You can switch the second group off right here, and this page lists every cookie by name so you can check the claim.

Your choice
EssentialAlways on
Sign-in sessions and the cookie that stores your choice on this page. Without these the site cannot keep you logged in or remember that you opted out, so there is nothing to switch.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, used to see which pages get read and where people drop off. Turning this off stops the scripts from loading at all and deletes the analytics cookies already in this browser.
Checking your current setting…
Your choice is stored in a cookie, so it applies to this browser on this device. Clearing cookies or switching browser resets it.
Every cookie we set
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
__sessionEssential | KeyPages (Auth0) | Keeps you signed in and protects the session against tampering. Only set once you sign in. | Session |
kp_analytics_consentEssential | KeyPages | Remembers the choice you make on this page. Without it we cannot honour an opt-out on your next visit. | 12 months |
_gaAnalytics | Google Analytics | Assigns a random ID so repeat visits count as one visitor. | 2 years |
_ga_VZKJR3CQ1YAnalytics | Google Analytics | Tracks session state for this specific property. | 2 years |
_gidAnalytics | Google Analytics | Separates visitors over a short window. | 24 hours |
Two related things that are not cookies: your theme preference is kept in this browser's local storage, and Vercel Analytics records page views on the production site without setting a cookie or storing an identifier.
Other ways to control this
Every major browser can block or delete cookies for a single site from its privacy settings, which works regardless of the switch above. Google also publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics across every site that uses it.
For what we do with the data once it is collected — including retention and your access and deletion rights — see the Privacy Policy, or email privacy@keypages.ai.
